Psalms 150 · Grade 4

The Grand Finale

Name Date

Read and Think

Psalm 150 has no title. It closes the whole book of Psalms with a burst of praise. Every line calls for praise, and it begins and ends with Praise Yah. The book of Psalms contains laments, confessions, and cries for help, but it ends in pure praise.

The psalm answers four questions. Where? Praise God in his sanctuary and in his heavens. Why? Praise him for his mighty acts and according to his excellent greatness. How? With trumpet, harp and lyre, tambourine and dancing, strings and flute, and loud cymbals.

Who? Let everything that has breath praise Yah! Every living creature is invited. The breath God gave at creation is meant to return to him as praise. Praise Yah!
