Psalms 144 · Grade 3

Happy Are the People

Name Date

Read the Story

Psalm 144 is titled By David. Blessed be Yahweh, my rock. David calls God his fortress, his high tower, his deliverer, and his shield.

David asks, Yahweh, what is man, that you care for him? Man is like a breath. His days are like a shadow that passes away.

David asks God to rescue him. Then he says, I will sing a new song to you, God. He pictures children growing strong and barns full of food. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh.

Memory Verse

“Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh.”

  • God trained David's hands. What is something God helps you learn?
  • The singer asked to be saved from strangers who lie. How can you trust God when people are not honest?
