Psalms 137: By the Rivers of Babylon

Psalm 137 is a song of sorrow from God's people as captives in Babylon. By the rivers of Babylon, God's people sat down and wept when they remembered Zion. They hung up their harps. Their captors asked them for songs of Zion, but they asked, How can we sing Yahweh's song in a foreign land? They vowed never to forget Jerusalem. The psalm ends with a raw cry for justice against Edom and Babylon.
