Psalms 133 · Grade 4
The Blessing of Unity
Read and Think
Psalm 133 is titled A Song of Ascents. By David. The psalm celebrates God's people living together as one family. See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!
The first picture is oil. Unity is like the precious oil on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aaron's beard. Oil was poured on Aaron when he was set apart as high priest. Its fragrance spread and flowed down over him, as unity spreads blessing over everyone it touches.
The second picture is dew. Unity is like the dew of Hermon, a tall mountain in the north with heavy dew, coming down on the hills of Zion. Dew refreshes dry land quietly. For there Yahweh gives the blessing, even life forever more.
