Psalms 127 · Grade 3
Rest and Gifts from God
Read the Story
Psalm 127 is titled A Song of Ascents. By Solomon. Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.
It is vain to get up early and stay up late, worrying and working. For he gives sleep to his loved ones.
Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The psalm compares children to arrows in a strong man's hand. Happy is the family God fills with children.
Memory Verse
“Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward.”
