Psalms 126 · Grade 3
Tears Turned to Joy
Read the Story
Psalm 126 is titled A Song of Ascents. When Yahweh brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream.
Our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. The nations said, Yahweh has done great things for them. Yahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad.
Then they pray, Restore our fortunes again, Yahweh. They use a farming picture. Those who sow in tears will reap in joy. A farmer may cry as he plants, but he will come back with joy, carrying his sheaves.
