Psalms 125 · Grade 3
Surrounded by God
Read the Story
Psalm 125 is titled A Song of Ascents. It says those who trust in Yahweh are like Mount Zion. It can't be moved. It stays forever.
Jerusalem had mountains on every side. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people. He does it now and forever.
The singer prays, Do good, Yahweh, to those who are good. He means people who are upright in their hearts. He ends with a blessing: Peace be on Israel.
Memory Verse
“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.”
