Psalms 120 · Grade 3

A Peacemaker Among Liars

Name Date

Read the Story

Psalm 120 is titled A Song of Ascents. It is the first of fifteen psalms in a row with that title.

In my distress, I cried to Yahweh. He answered me. The singer asks God to deliver him from lying lips and a deceitful tongue.

He feels far from home. He lives among the tents of Kedar, with people who hate peace. He says, I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war. He trusts God to help him.

Memory Verse

“I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.”
