Psalms 116 · Grade 3
What Will I Give to God?
Read the Story
Psalm 116 has no title. It begins, I love Yahweh, because he listens to my voice. Because God turned his ear to him, the singer will call on him as long as he lives.
The singer was in great danger. He found trouble and sorrow. Then he called on Yahweh's name: deliver my soul. Yahweh is gracious and righteous. I was brought low, and he saved me.
Now the singer asks a question: What will I give to Yahweh for all his benefits toward me? He answers: I will take the cup of salvation, and call on Yahweh's name. He will keep his promises to God in front of all God's people.
