Psalms 113 · Grade 3

High Above, Yet Near

Name Date

Read the Story

Psalm 113 has no title. It begins and ends with Praise Yah! It calls the servants of Yahweh to praise his name forever.

From the rising of the sun to its going down, Yahweh's name is to be praised. He is high above all nations. Who is like Yahweh, our God? He sits on high, but he stoops down to see in heaven and on the earth.

God raises up the poor out of the dust. He sets them with princes. He settles the barren woman in her home as a joyful mother of children. The great God cares for the lowly.

Memory Verse

“Yahweh is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.”
