Psalms 110 · Grade 2
God's Special King
Read the Story
The title of Psalm 110 calls it A Psalm by David. In it Yahweh speaks to David's Lord. He says, sit at my right hand. That is a place of honor.
Yahweh makes a promise. This King will also be a priest forever. A priest helps people come near to God. In the New Testament, Jesus uses this psalm to ask how David could call the Messiah Lord (Matthew 22:41-45), and Christians believe Jesus is this King and Priest.
Memory Verse
“Yahweh has sworn, and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.””
