Psalms 11 · Grade 3

Flee Like a Bird?

Name Date

Read the Story

The title says this psalm is for the Chief Musician and is by David. David says, In Yahweh, I take refuge. Some people asked why he did not flee as a bird to his mountain. The wicked were getting ready to shoot at the upright in heart. Some asked, If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?

David's answer is to look up. Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven. His eyes examine the children of men. He examines the righteous, but he hates the wicked and those who love violence. Yahweh is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.

Memory Verse

“Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.”
