Proverbs 12 · Grade 3
The Tongue of the Wise
Read the Story
Whoever loves correction loves knowledge. A wise person is glad to learn, even when it means being corrected. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who is wise listens to counsel.
A righteous man respects the life of his animal. Kindness reaches even to the animals God made.
Words can hurt or heal. There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh. Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.
Memory Verse
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.”
