Too Proud to Help
Read the Story
Obadiah 1:1 calls this book the vision of Obadiah. It is about the people of Edom. They came from Esau. Esau was the brother of Jacob.
Edom lived high up in the rocks. They felt safe and proud. Yahweh said their pride had fooled them. When Jacob's family was in trouble, Edom did not help. God told them not to be glad when a brother is hurt. At the end, the book says the kingdom will be Yahweh's.
Memory Verse
“For the day of Yahweh is near all the nations! As you have done, it will be done to you. Your deeds will return upon your own head.”
