Numbers 8 · Grade 2
Lights and Helpers
Read the Story
God told Aaron to light the seven lamps in His tent. The lamps gave light in front of the golden lampstand. Aaron did just what God said.
Then God told Moses to get the Levites ready to serve. They were washed with water. They washed their clothes. The people put their hands on the Levites.
This showed that the Levites were God's helpers for all the people. In the New Testament, Jesus is called the Light of the world (John 8:12). We can shine for God and help others too.
Memory Verse
““Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand.’””
