Numbers 6 · Grade 3

Yahweh Bless You

Name Date

Read the Story

Numbers 6 describes the Nazirite vow. A man or a woman could choose to be set apart to God for a time. During the vow, they had no wine or anything from the grapevine. No razor touched their head. They did not go near a dead body.

When the days of the vow were finished, the Nazirite came to the Tent of Meeting. He brought offerings and shaved his head. The hair was burned on the altar fire.

Then God gave Aaron a blessing for the people: Yahweh bless you, and keep you. Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace. God said, I will bless them.

Memory Verse

“Yahweh lift up his face toward you, and give you peace.’”
