Numbers 33 · Grade 4
A Map of God's Faithfulness
Read and Think
Numbers 33 is like a travel journal. By God's command, Moses wrote down every stop Israel made from Egypt to the plains of Moab. There are about forty stops. Many of the places cannot be found on a map today.
Some stops recall great events: the Passover night, the crossing of the sea, the springs of Elim, and Mount Sinai. Others are just names. Yet each one marked a place where God fed, guided, and protected His people.
At the end, God told Israel to drive out the people, destroy their idols, and divide the land by lot. If they let idols remain, those things would trouble them. Remembering the journey helped Israel trust God for what came next.
