Numbers 27 · Grade 2
Five Sisters Ask
Read the Story
A man named Zelophehad died. He had five daughters and no sons. Back then, land went to sons. The sisters asked Moses, Can we have our father's land?
Moses did not know the answer, so he asked God. God said, The daughters are right. Give them their father's land. God was fair to them.
Then God told Moses to go up a mountain and see the new land. Moses would not go in. Moses asked God for a new leader. God picked Joshua.
Memory Verse
““The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.”
