Numbers 17 · Grade 3
Sprouted, Budded, Blossomed
Read the Story
After Korah's rebellion, God wanted to stop the murmuring for good. He told Moses to take a rod from the prince of each tribe, twelve in all, and write each man's name on his rod. Aaron's name was written on Levi's rod.
Moses laid up the rods before Yahweh in the Tent of the Testimony. God said, The rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud.
On the next day, Aaron's rod had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds! Moses showed all the rods to the people. God told Moses to put Aaron's rod back before the covenant as a sign, so that the complaining would end.
Memory Verse
“On the next day, Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony; and behold, Aaron’s rod for the house of Levi had sprouted, budded, produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.”
