Nehemiah 7 · Grade 2

A Big City

Name Date

Read the Story

The wall was done. The doors were in the gates. Nehemiah put men at the gates. He picked a faithful man to be in charge.

He told them to keep the gates shut until the sun was hot. He told them to keep watch.

The city was big. But there were not many people in it. God put a plan in Nehemiah's heart. He found a book with the names of the first people who came home.

Memory Verse

“Now the city was wide and large; but the people were few therein, and the houses were not built.”
