Nehemiah Helps the Poor

Name Date

Read the Story

Some of God's people were poor. They had no food. They had to give away their fields to get grain.

Some rich men were not fair to them. They made them pay too much. Nehemiah was very upset. He told the rich men that this was wrong.

The rich men said they would give back the fields. Nehemiah was kind too. He did not take what he could have. He fed many people at his table. He asked God to remember the good he had done.

Memory Verse

“Remember me, my God, for all the good that I have done for this people.”

Nehemiah 5:19 (WEB)
