Nehemiah 4 · Grade 2

They Kept On Building

Name Date

Read the Story

Some men did not like the wall. They laughed at the people. They said a fox could break it down.

Nehemiah prayed to God. The people kept on building. They had a mind to work! Soon the wall was half done. Then the bad men planned to stop them.

The people prayed. They kept watch all day and all night. Nehemiah told them not to be afraid. He said God is great. When they heard the horn, they would come. God would fight for them.

Memory Verse

“So we built the wall; and all the wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.”
