Nehemiah Asks the King

Read the Story

Nehemiah gave the king his cup. But Nehemiah was sad. The king saw it. He asked what was wrong.

Nehemiah told him the city of God was broken. The king asked what he wanted. Nehemiah prayed to God. Then he asked to go and build it.

The king said yes! God's good hand was on him. Nehemiah went and looked at the wall at night. Then he told the people. They said they would rise up and build.
