Nehemiah 10 · Grade 2
The People Make a Promise
Read the Story
The people wrote a promise to God. The leaders put their names on it. Then all the people said yes.
They said they would obey God's law. They would rest on God's day. They would not buy and sell on that day.
They said they would give to God's house. They would bring the first of their food. They would bring wood for the fire. They would not forget God's house.
Memory Verse
“For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the wave offering of the grain, of the new wine, and of the oil, to the rooms where the vessels of the sanctuary are, and the priests who minister, with the gatekeepers and the singers. We will not forsake the house of our God.”
