Read the Story

A woman poured very costly perfume on Jesus' head. Some disciples said it was a waste. But Jesus said she had done a beautiful thing. Then Judas, one of the twelve, went to the leaders. He agreed to hand Jesus over to them for thirty pieces of silver.

At the Passover supper, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it. He said, "Take, eat; this is my body." He took the cup and said it was His blood of the new covenant, poured out for the forgiveness of sins.

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was very sad. He prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire." Then Judas came with a crowd, and they arrested Jesus. That night Peter said three times that he did not know Jesus. When the rooster crowed, Peter remembered and wept.

Memory Verse

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”
