Matthew 12 · Grade 2
A Day to Do Good
Read the Story
The Sabbath was a special day of rest. One Sabbath, Jesus saw a man whose hand was hurt. Some leaders wanted to see if Jesus would heal him.
Jesus said that if a sheep fell into a pit, they would lift it out. A person is worth much more than a sheep! It is good to help on the Sabbath.
Jesus said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." The man stretched it out, and it was healed! Jesus loves to do good.
Memory Verse
“Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.””
Matthew 12:12 (WEB)
