Read the Story

Jesus called His twelve disciples. He gave them power to heal every sickness. Some of them were Peter, Andrew, James, John and Matthew the tax collector. Jesus sent them to preach, "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"

Jesus told them, "Freely you received, so freely give." They should not take extra money or clothes. God would take care of them. Jesus warned that He was sending them like sheep among wolves. They should be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Jesus said not to be afraid of people. Two sparrows are sold for a small coin. Yet not one falls to the ground without the Father knowing. Even the hairs on your head are counted! If you give a cup of cold water to one of His little ones, you will be rewarded.

Memory Verse

“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.”
