The Baby Named Jesus

Read the Story

Mary was going to marry a man named Joseph. Before they were married, Mary was going to have a baby. The baby was from God's Holy Spirit.

Joseph was worried. Then an angel came to him in a dream. The angel told Joseph not to be afraid to take Mary as his wife. The angel told Joseph to name the baby Jesus.

The name Jesus means that God saves. Jesus came to save people from their sins. He is also called Immanuel, which means "God with us."
