A man named Jairus came to Jesus. His little girl was very sick. He begged Jesus to come help her.

Some people came and said the girl had died. But Jesus said, "Don't be afraid, only believe."

Jesus went to the house. He took the girl by the hand. He said, "Girl, I tell you, get up!" Right away she got up and walked! Everyone was amazed.

But Jesus, when he heard the message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Don’t be afraid, only believe.”
