Mark 14 · Grade 3
Not What I Want
Read the Story
At Bethany, a woman poured very costly perfume on Jesus' head. Jesus said she had done a good work. Then Judas, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to hand Jesus over to them.
At the Passover meal, Jesus took bread, blessed it and broke it. He said, "Take, eat. This is my body." He took the cup and said, "This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many."
In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus was very sad. He prayed, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I desire, but what you desire." Then Judas came with a crowd, and Jesus was arrested. Later Peter said three times that he did not know Jesus. When the rooster crowed, he remembered and cried.
