Luke 23 · Grade 2
Jesus on the Cross
Read the Story
Leaders took Jesus to a ruler named Pilate. Pilate said Jesus did nothing wrong. But the crowd shouted for Jesus to die on a cross.
Jesus was put on a cross. He prayed for the people who hurt Him. He said, Father, forgive them. A man next to Jesus asked Jesus to remember him. Jesus said, Today you will be with Me in Paradise.
The sky became dark. Jesus gave His spirit to God, His Father. A kind man named Joseph put Jesus' body in a tomb. Jesus died for our sins because He loves us. But this was not the end. On the third day Jesus rose again!
