Not My Will, but Yours

Name Date

Read the Story

Jesus ate the Passover with His apostles. He took bread, gave thanks, and broke it. He said it was His body given for them, and they should do this in memory of Him. He gave them the cup and said it was the new covenant in His blood. The apostles argued about who was greatest. Jesus said the greatest should be like one who serves, just as He served them.

Jesus told Peter that he would deny Him three times before the rooster crowed. Then Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. He prayed that God would remove the cup of suffering. But He said, Not my will, but yours, be done. An angel strengthened Him.

Judas came with a crowd and betrayed Jesus with a kiss. Jesus healed the ear of a servant who was struck. At night, Peter denied Jesus three times. The rooster crowed, and the Lord looked at Peter. Peter went out and wept bitterly. Jesus knew all this would happen, and He knew He would rise again (Luke 24).
