Read the Story

Jesus told a story about a widow who kept asking an unfair judge for justice. Finally he helped her. Jesus said God, who is good, will surely help His people who cry to Him day and night. So we should always pray and not give up.

Two men went to the temple to pray. A Pharisee bragged about how good he was. A tax collector stood far off. He would not even look up. He beat his chest and said, God, be merciful to me, a sinner! Jesus said the tax collector went home right with God.

A rich ruler asked how to have eternal life. Jesus told him to sell what he had, give to the poor, and follow Him. The man was very sad, because he was very rich. Jesus said that what is impossible with people is possible with God.
