Leviticus 9 · Grade 3
The Eighth Day
Read the Story
After seven days of getting ready, the eighth day came. Moses called Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel. He told Aaron to bring a calf and a ram. The people brought offerings too.
Moses said, this is what Yahweh commanded, and Yahweh's glory shall appear to you. Aaron came near the altar. He offered the sin offering for himself first. Then he offered the gifts for the people, just as Moses commanded.
Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them. He and Moses went into the Tent of Meeting and came out and blessed the people. Then Yahweh's glory appeared to all the people. Fire came out from before Yahweh and consumed the offering. The people shouted and fell on their faces.
Memory Verse
“Fire came out from before Yahweh, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.”
