Leviticus 7 · Grade 2
Saying Thank You
Read the Story
God gave more rules about gifts. One gift was called a thank offering. People brought it to say thank You to God.
They brought cakes of bread with oil. They brought the animal too. The priest got a part. The family ate the rest.
They had to eat the meat on the same day. They could not keep it until the next morning. God also said, do not eat fat or blood. The priests were given the breast and the right thigh.
Memory Verse
“If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mixed with oil.”
