Read the Story

Sometimes people did wrong things by mistake. They did not plan to sin. But it was still sin. God gave a way to fix it.

If a priest sinned, he brought a young bull. If all the people sinned, they brought a bull too. If a leader sinned, he brought a goat. If any other person sinned, he could bring a goat or a lamb.

The priest put the gift on the altar. Then God said the person would be forgiven. God cares about sin. He also loves to forgive. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away sin.

“He shall do this with the bull; as he did with the bull of the sin offering, so he shall do with this; and the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven.”
