Leviticus 23 · Grade 2
Special Days
Read the Story
God gave His people special days. Every week had a day of rest. It was called the Sabbath.
There were also big feasts each year. At Passover, they remembered how God saved them from Egypt. At harvest time, they gave God the first part of their grain.
In the fall, families lived in little huts made of branches for seven days. They remembered how God cared for them in the desert. It was a happy time to thank God.
Memory Verse
““‘These are the set feasts of Yahweh, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their appointed season.”
