Judges 5 · Grade 2
A Happy Song
Read the Story
God helped Israel win. So Deborah and Barak sang a song to God. They sang praise to God!
They sang that the mountains shook when God came. They sang that the roads were empty before. People were scared. Then Deborah rose up like a mother for Israel.
Some tribes came to help. Some stayed home. The song says the stars fought from the sky. The river swept the enemy away. At the end they sang that those who love God will shine like the sun. Then the land had rest for forty years.
Memory Verse
““Hear, you kings! Give ear, you princes! I, even I, will sing to Yahweh. I will sing praise to Yahweh, the God of Israel.”
