Judges 20 · Grade 2
A Sad War
Read the Story
All Israel came together as one man at Mizpah. They heard what the wicked men of Gibeah had done.
They told the tribe of Benjamin, Give up the wicked men. But Benjamin would not listen. Benjamin got ready to fight.
Israel asked God what to do. Twice Benjamin won. Then all Israel went to Bethel. They cried and sat before God. They did not eat all day. God told them to go up, and He would help them. Benjamin lost, and only six hundred of their men were left.
Memory Verse
“Then all the children of Israel and all the people went up, and came to Bethel, and wept, and sat there before Yahweh, and fasted that day until evening; then they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.”
