Joshua 7 · Grade 2
Achan's Hidden Sin
Read the Story
God told Israel not to take things from Jericho. They were for Him. But a man named Achan took some. He hid them.
Then Israel went to fight at Ai. They lost. The people were afraid. Joshua tore his clothes. He fell on his face before God.
God said, Israel has sinned. God showed that Achan did it. Achan said that he had sinned. He had hidden a robe, silver, and gold in his tent. Achan's sin brought trouble. He was punished.
Memory Verse
“Achan answered Joshua, and said, “I have truly sinned against Yahweh, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.”
