Joshua 5 · Grade 2
Joshua Bows Down
Read the Story
The people camped at Gilgal. They kept the Passover. Then they ate food from the land. The next day the manna stopped.
Joshua was near Jericho. He looked up. A man stood in front of him. He had a sword in his hand. Joshua asked, Are you for us, or for our enemies?
The man said no. He said he was the commander of God's army. Joshua fell on his face. The man said, Take off your sandals. The place where you stand is holy. Joshua did so.
Memory Verse
“He said, “No; but I have come now as commander of Yahweh’s army.” Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and worshiped, and asked him, “What does my lord say to his servant?””
