Joshua 24 · Grade 2
Choose Today
Read the Story
Joshua called all the tribes to Shechem. He told them all that God had done. God brought them out of Egypt. God gave them a land and cities.
Joshua said, Choose today whom you will serve. He said, as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh. The people said, We will serve Yahweh our God.
Joshua wrote the words in a book. He set up a big stone under an oak tree. The stone would help them remember. Later Joshua died. He was one hundred ten years old.
Memory Verse
“If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.””
