Joshua 19 · Grade 3
The Leader Goes Last
Read the Story
The second lot came out for Simeon. Their land was in the middle of Judah's land. Judah's portion was too much for them. Then came Zebulun, Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and Dan.
The children of Dan fought against Leshem and took it. They named the city Dan, after their forefather.
So they finished dividing the land. Then the people gave land to Joshua. They gave him the city he asked for. It was Timnathserah in the hills of Ephraim. He built the city and lived there. The land was divided by lot in Shiloh before Yahweh.
Memory Verse
“According to Yahweh’s commandment, they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived there.”
