Joshua 12 · Grade 3
Remembering God's Victories
Read the Story
Joshua 12 is a list of the kings of the land that Israel struck. It helps God's people remember all He did for them.
East of the Jordan, Moses and Israel struck two kings. Sihon was king of the Amorites. Og was king of Bashan. Their land ran from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon. Moses gave that land to Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh.
West of the Jordan, Joshua and Israel struck the kings of the land. The list starts with the king of Jericho and the king of Ai. It ends with the king of Tirzah, all the kings thirty-one. Joshua gave the land to the tribes of Israel for a possession.
Memory Verse
“Moses the servant of Yahweh and the children of Israel struck them. Moses the servant of Yahweh gave it for a possession to the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.”
