This chapter is a list. It tells the kings Israel beat. God helped them every time.

First Moses led Israel east of the Jordan. They beat two kings named Sihon and Og. Moses gave that land to two and a half tribes.

Then Joshua led Israel across the Jordan. They beat the king of Jericho and the king of Ai. There were thirty-one kings in all. Joshua gave the land to the tribes.
