Joshua 1 · Grade 2
A New Leader
Read the Story
Moses had died. God spoke to Joshua. God told Joshua to get up and take the people over the Jordan River. He said He would give them the land.
God said He would be with Joshua, as He was with Moses. He told Joshua to be strong and brave, not to be afraid, and to keep His law. He told him to think about it day and night.
Joshua told the people to get food ready. In three days they would cross the river. The people said they would do all he told them. They would go where he sent them.
Memory Verse
“Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.””
