I Have Seen the Lord

Name Date

Read the Story

On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb while it was still dark. She saw the stone taken away. She ran to Peter and the other disciple. They ran to the tomb and saw the linen cloths lying there. The cloth for His head was folded by itself. The other disciple saw and believed.

Mary stood weeping. Jesus spoke to her, but she thought He was the gardener. Then He said, Mary. She said, Rabboni! which means Teacher. She went and told the disciples, I have seen the Lord!

That evening the disciples were behind locked doors. Jesus stood among them and said, Peace be to you. He showed them His hands and side. He breathed on them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit. Thomas was not there and did not believe. Eight days later Jesus came again. Thomas said, My Lord and my God! Jesus said those who believe without seeing are blessed.
