Your Word Is Truth

Name Date

Read the Story

After His teaching, Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven and prayed. He said, Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son. He said eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. Jesus had finished the work the Father gave Him.

Jesus prayed for His disciples. He had taught them the Father's words, and they believed. He asked the Father to keep them from the evil one. He did not ask the Father to take them out of the world. He asked God to make them holy in the truth. Your word is truth.

Jesus prayed for all who would believe through the disciples' message. He asked that they may all be one, just as He and the Father are one. Then the world would believe the Father sent Jesus. He prayed that they would be with Him and see His glory.
