John 16 · Grade 3
Your Sorrow Will Turn into Joy
Read the Story
Jesus warned His disciples that hard times would come. He told them so they would not fall away. They were full of sorrow because He was leaving. Jesus said, It is to your advantage that I go away. Then the Helper would come.
The Spirit would show the world the truth about sin, righteousness and judgment. Jesus said, When he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth. The Spirit would glorify Jesus.
Jesus said they would weep, but their sorrow would turn into joy. It would be like a mother whose pain is forgotten when her baby is born. They could ask the Father in Jesus' name. The disciples said they believed. Jesus said, In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.
