Jesus Washes Feet

Name Date

Read the Story

Jesus ate supper with His friends. He got up and took a towel. He poured water into a bowl.

Jesus washed His friends' feet. Peter said, You will never wash my feet! Jesus said He must. Then Peter said, Wash my hands and head too!

Jesus said, I gave you an example. Serve each other. Love one another, just as I have loved you. People will know you are Mine if you love each other.

Memory Verse

“Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.”

  • What new commandment did Jesus give?
